Collaboration with the European Space Agency - Astrophotography from around the world

🌌Greetings everyone! I'm Didier C.Torres @didierctorres , astrophotographer and explorer from #Honduras in Central America. I'm so excited to be collaborating with ESA @europeanspaceagency and to have the opportunity to share with all some of my adventures.

I like to think I started my journey into astrophotography when I was a kid, drawing pictures of the moon. Many years later I bought my first camera and started shooting the sky. By day, when the stars are hidden, I like to be on the mountain or above it flying with my paraglider.

For me astrophotography is a tool for time travel, you learn so much of ancient cultures but also makes me think a lot about the future.

In 2021, during a new moon night while hiking to my favorite spot, I realized that my passion for the mountains and the universe could be combined and so my next adventure was borned. Photographing the stars from the highest points on earth.

Since then, I've climbed 2 of the 7 summits of the world chasing dark skies, exploring other cultures and also pushing my limits to improve my skills.

This is a collection of some of my favorite photos, taken around the world. I hope they make you feel inspired to get out and explore our planet and also get more connected to the cosmos.
